prof. Janusz Majewski
Rector of the Warsaw Film School. In 1959 he graduated from film directing at the Lodz Film School. In the years of 1983–1990 he was the Chairman of the Main Board in the Polish Filmmakers Association, in 2006 he became the Chairman in Honour. In the years of 1987–1991 he was a member of Cinematography Committee. Between 1969 and 1991 he worked as a lecturer at the Lodz Film School, and as a guest lecturer also in USA. In 2001 r. he was awarded with the Order of Polonia Restituta. dr Maciej Ślesicki
Director, screenwriter and film producer. The founder and Chancellor of the Warsaw Film School. His films include: Trzy minuty. 21:37 (Three minutes. 21:37), Tato (Daddy), Sara and Show. He also created the TV series 13 Posterunek (Station 13). He graduated from the Department of Radio and Television at the Silesian University. He was awarded with Golden Duck Award for the year 1995 and won a prize for directing at the Polish Films Festival in Gdynia for his film Tato (Daddy). In 1997 he received distributors acclaim for the box office success of his film Sara. He also produced the multiply awarded film Rezerwat (Reservation). He is the initiator of many actions supporting film debuts, and the chief of Paisa Films film studio.
Bogusław Linda
Actor, director, script writer. Graduated from the Ludwik Solski State Theatre School in Cracow. He is the co-founder and lecturer at the Warsaw Film School. He played in such films as Gorączka (Fever)and Kobieta samotna (A Lonely Woman) by Agnieszka Holland; Człowiek z żelaza (Man of Iron) by Andrzej Wajda; Krzysztof Kieslowski’s Przypadek (Blind Chance); Matka królów (Mother of Kings) by Janusz Zaorski; Zabij mnie, glino (Kill me, Cop) by Jacek Bromski; Kroll and Psy (Pigs) by Władysław Pasikowski; Jańcio Wodnik by Jan Jakub Kolski; Tato (Daddy) and Sara by Maciej Ślesicki; Pan Tadeusz by Andrzej Wajda. He directed several feature films, such as Seszele (Seychelles), Sezon na leszcza (Season for Suckers) and Jasne błękitne okna (Bright Blue Windows). In 2005 he appeared on a record Las Putas Melancólicas by a band Swietliki. In 2009 he was awarded with the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis.
Dr Michał Oleszczyk
Michał Oleszczyk is a film critic and scholar based in Poland. In 2012, he has been named the Critic of the Year by the Polish Film Institute. His work has appeared in numerous Polish outlets, as well as on American websites such as “Fandor”, “The House Next Door” and “Hammer to Nail." Oleszczyk wrote the first Polish book on the films of Terence Davies and has published a translation of J. Hoberman and Jonathan Rosenbaum’s “Midnight Movies." After having defended a Ph.D. thesis on the work of Pauline Kael, he has taught film at Polish universities, as well as worked as a programmer for Off Plus Camera International Film Festival.
Dr Mikołaj Jaroszewicz
He graduated from the Cinematography Department of the PWSTViT in Łódź in 1991. In the first period of his work in film, he was a camera operator on many Polish feature films such as "Young Wolves" or "Qua Vadis", simultaneously working as a screenwriter in serials and his own projects. As a freelance cinematographer, he started with puppet films, one of which "Peter and the Wolf" was nominated for the British BAFTA, in 2006, won the Cristal Du Court Metrages in Anessa and in 2007 the Oscar - the American Film Academy Award. After this success, Mikołaj Jaroszewicz started working in Great Britain, participating in many fictional projects as a cinematographer as well as a director and screenwriter. In 2012. he directed a full-length film based on Tony Hawks' novel Playing the Moldovans at Tennis which was an international production filmed in England, Ireland, Moldova and Israel. In 2013, the option for his script for a full-length feature film "Winter" was bought by the American Oscar producer Michael Phillips, known from the films "Sting", "Taxi Driver" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".

Renowned cinematographer, graduate of the Lodz Film School, DoP on such features as "Dad" by Maciej Ślesicki or "Rozdroze Cafe" by Leszek Wosiewicz.
Jacek J. Januszyk
A graduate of the Film School in Łódź. Cinematographer, screenwriter, director and producer. He made his cinematography debut for the feature film "Double Portrait" (nomination for the Golden Lions of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and an award in the "New Forms of Expression" category). He collaborated with prominent and recognized creators of Polish cinema, incl. A. Wajda, J.J. Kolski, J. Bogajewicz, W. Smarzowski, M. Ślesicki, L. Wosiewicz, J. Zaorski, K. Lupa, J. Dylewska, P. Edelman, K. Ptak, A. Sikora, M. Pawłowski, K. Visconti. His film and television achievements include projects combining a high artistic and commercial level, such as "In the desert and in the forest", dir. G. Hood (Oscar winner). He is also the cinematographer for many documentary films, incl. "Touching an Angel" honored with the Gold Remi award at the Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival. The cinematography for this film was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Film Festival in Rijeka. In turn, the film "The Runner", winner of the bronze medal at The New York Festival, brought the cinematographer a special award at the festival in Zielona Góra. He was nominated for the Deutscher Kamerapreis for his cinematography in the controversial film "Forbidden Love". He is currently working as a director and co-producer on his original film "Three Falls of a Saint" - screening at the Cannes festival as part of the "Works in progress" section and at the international festival New Horizons. His next projects are "Art Above Life" and "Etude for violin and cello". At the development stage, he implements his own fictional projects - "The Healer" and "Three Days with the Murderer".
Jarek Kupść
Jarek Kupsc received his film writing and directing diploma from San Francisco State University. He created five feature-length narrative films, many of which have received multiple awards at international film festivals. He wrote a film textbook, "The History of Cinema For Beginners," published in the US, India, and the Czech Republic. In addition to screenwriting and directing, Jarek is also an editor and cinematographer. For many years, he worked as a storyboard artist in New York and Los Angeles. Parallel to his film work, Jarek is a professional painter, graphic artist, and photographer.
Jodie Baltazar
Jodie earned an MFA in Film Production from the University of Southern California in 2008. In 2010, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Poland for animation. She has produced two narrative feature films, a documentary film, and directed several short films for children. Upon settling in Poland, Jodie has undertaken several film and social projects which examine "wildness", the use of public space, and other ecological topics. These investigations have culminated in a book, Głodni zielonej Warszawy, published in October 2018. Jodie has a rich past life as an experimental musician and performer, and currently creates sculpture and animation. She works as a freelance producer.
Magdalena Łazarkiewicz
Polish female helmer, famous for shooting socially engaged features. In 1982 she graduated from the Faculty of Radio and Television University of Silesia in Katowice. During her film studies she worked as assistant to Andrzej Wajda and her film debut came from under her professor Krzysztof Kieślowski’s patronage and since then has been drawn to various social topics. Since 2011 artistic director of IFF “Jewish Motives” in Warsaw.

Michał Dominowski
Piotr Gorszczyński
Editor, cameraman, graduate and currently lecturer at Warsaw Film School. He worked on the movie "Manhunt" (polish title: “Obława”) directed by Marcin Krzyolucowicz, the tv series "Firemen" (polish title: "Strażacy") and "Szpilki na Giewoncie". He conducts classes for high school students as part of the National Film Archive (Filmoteka Szkolna), during which young filmmakers have opportunity to learn the basics of film language and test their skills in practice.
Tomasz Szafrański
Tomasz Szafranski is a graduate of film directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and TV Faculty of the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland and cinematography department of the Camerimage Film School in Torun, Poland. Director and writer of feature theatrical films: “It’s a Perfect Night for a Suicide” (2012), and critically-acclaimed hits “Adventurers’ Club” (2015) and “Rock’n’Roll Eddie” (2019), both praised as groundbreaking Polish adventure comedies. For American market he wrote and directed a screwball comedy “No Panic, With a Hint of Hysteria” (2016), starring Stephen Baldwin. Director of hit TV series “Tainted” (TVN), “Nowa” (TVP1), “Do dzwonka” (Disney Channel), “Do Dzwonka Café” (Disney Channel), “It’s Not The End of the World” (Polsat), “Druga szansa” (TVN), “Echo serca” (TVP2). Two-time laureate of the Hartley-Merrill Competition – won the special HBO Award for the script “Przestrzenie nieba” (2007) and the special Polish Film Institute Award for the script “Derby” (2008). Veronica Andersson
Director, screenwriter and actress. She was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Her short films "Liberation" and "Wiki" were awarded at many international film festivals. She studied directory at Warsaw Film School, gender studies and antropology at Linköpings Universitet in Sweden and acting at Calle Flygare Teater Skola at Sweden.
Filip Hillesland
Director and screenwriter. Studied in Warsaw Film School and the SWPS University in Warsaw. He is the creator of short films such as „Tropical Island” and „Toast” which were critically acclaimed on several international film festivals including Palm Springs Short Fest. Participant of the 1st Polish-American Forum for Young Filmmakers in Los Angeles. Member of Jury in „Short Film” category at the screenwriting festival Script Fiesta in the years 2017-2019.
Artur Zaborski
A cultural journalist who was born in 1987 on Podhale. He is writing for polish, american, canadian and swedish media. In Poland he is publishing in "Zwierciadło", "Pani", "Wprost", "Przegląd", "Przekrój", "Newsweek", "Magazyn Filmowy", Fandor, MovieZine and Wirtualna Polska. He was nominated for PISF Award in film criticism in 2017.
prof. Krzysztof Zanussi
Film, theatre and opera director, screenwriter, producer and author. Recognized as a creator of intellectual and philosophical films. He studied philosophy at Jagiellonian University in Cracow and physics at Warsaw University, before graduating from the National Film School in Łódź in 1966. Recipient of many awards, including the David di Donatello Prize of the Accademia del Cinema Italiano, the Cavalier’s Cross of the Polonia Restituta Order, and the Cavalier de L’Ordre des Sciences et Lettres. Member of the Papal Academy of Fine Arts and Literature. He is a professor of European film at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, also a professor at the Silesian University in Katowice. President of TOR Film Studio. Member of the European Film Academy, from 2011 (member of the board).
