FESTIVAL PREMIERE
40. Koszaliński Festiwal Debiutów Filmowych MŁODZI I FILM
The film "The Land" had its festival premiere at the 40th Koszaliński Festiwal Debiutów Filmowych MŁODZI I FILM. The screening took place on June 18, 2021 at the Kryterium cinema.
The filmmakers and the film received a very warm welcome talking to the audience for a long time behind the scenes. Right after the screening there was a meeting with a large representation of the "The Land" team. The directors of the two episodes - Filip Hillesland and Mateusz Motyka, as well as Stanisław Wójcik and Łukasz Suchocki, responsible for the cinematography, came to Koszalin. They were joined by Oliwia Waligóra, who worked on set design, and Maciej Amilkiewicz, who produced the sound. They were also joined by production and location manager Karol Vo.

The strong group was supported by actors appearing in the film: Daria Polasik-Bułka, Joanna Niemirska, Arkadiusz Detmer and Adam Bobik. Everyone gathered to go to the cinema together for the screening and then answered questions from the audience. Kino Na Granicy
Straight from the north of the country our production travelled to the southern border. On August 1st in the Adam Mickiewicz Theatre in Cieszyn in the framework of the Kino Na Granicy film festival the screening of the film "The Land" took place. The screening was followed by a meeting with the filmmakers: Veronica Andersson, Filip Hillesland, Mateusz Motyka, Tomasz Schimscheiner and Tomasz Włosok.

Two Riversides Film and Art Festival
As part of the 15th edition of the Two Riversides Festival, on 4 August the audience had a chance to see "The Land" during a unique outdoor screening in the picturesque scenery of the castle courtyard in Kazimierz Dolny. The audience was invited to watch the film by Grażyna Torbicka herself - the festival's artistic director, journalist and popularizer of ambitious cinema.
Our artists were special guests at the event. Two Riversides was attended by the directors: Veronica Andersson, Filip Hillesland and Mateusz Motyka, and the executive producer of "The Land": Ewa Sokołowska.
On the next day, after the screening, a meeting with the film's directors took place at Café Bursztynowa. The conversation with them was led by Marcin Radomski - journalist and author of the KINOrozmowa channel. The artists also answered questions from the numerous viewers. Octopus Film Festival
From Kazimierz Dolny "The Land" set off northwards once again and visited Gdańsk for the Octopus Film Festival - an event dedicated to ambitious genre cinema. The screening took place on August 7 in Multikino Gdańsk.

The audience had also an opportunity to learn more about the production of Warsaw Film School during the meeting with one of the film's directors - Filip Hillesland. The interview with our Filmmaker was conducted by a film critic - Błażej Hrapkowicz.

Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival
"The Land" finally crossed the borders of our country and set out to conquer America! Our film participated in the Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival! The event is ranked among the top 10 festivals in the U.S. and is New England's only Oscar-qualifying festival. The event took place from August 9-15, 2021.

Tallgrass Film Festival
"The Land" will soon travel overseas again! Our film has qualified for the Talgrass Film Festival in the US. Tallgrass, held annually in the city of Wichita, is the largest independent film festival in the state of Kansas.
Our film will be screened as part of the out-of-competition Spotlight Feature Films section. Although it will not be judged by a jury, it will compete for the Audience Award.
The festival will take place from October 20-24.
